Whole Body Approach.

Elizabeth has a constant question on her mind - and that is - why? Ultimately, the solution to any nagging issue is to finally figure out why the problem was happening in the first place. Finding the root cause or 'driver' of a problem is what excites Elizabeth the most. As an example - at times a sore knee is actually a stiff toe, weak hip or old shoulder injury.

Manual Therapy.

As a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, Elizabeth is dedicated to evidence based practice - including the appropriate, timely and sensible use of manual and manipulative techniques. FCAMPT therapists are highly trained physiotherapists having completed years of post-graduate training beyond a physiotherapy degree. Elizabeth considers manual therapy a single 'tool' in her toolbox and includes it in her well-rounded treatment approach.

IMS/Dry Needling.

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a needling technique, using acupuncture needles, to address muscle-driven issues such as fatigue, tightness, knots, tension etc... IMS is also a helpful tool to use to address patterns of dysfunction that are driving an ongoing issue. IMS directly targets the muscles and the associated nerves, which is different than acupuncture that often is more holistic in nature. Elizabeth is rostered with CPTBC to perform IMS/Dry Needling in British Columbia.

Clinical Pilates + Yoga.

Elizabeth is an E-RYT 200 yoga teacher has been teaching since 2009. Elizabeth regularly draws on her experience and knowledge to develop exercise programs and client 'homework' that is holistic and suited to an individual.

Additionally, Elizabeth is trained in the Balanced Body Pilates method and regularly uses her knowledge to create unique and challenging exercises for those who are willing.
